Hello. Thanks for coming. You made it all the way down to the bottom of that article and clicked/tapped one of the little blue links. Then you scrolled down the homepage of this website until you selected this post. Now you’re reading it with your eyeballs. Phew. That’s actually quite a lot of user engagement to get to this point. You should really congratulate yourself. Most everyone else gets distracted before they even get through the first step.

If you’re not here from Cracked.com and all of that was nonsense, this is what I’m talking about.

Anyway, my name is Boone. This is my personal website, where some stuff I have written and otherwise created hangs out, collecting internet dust.

I have been writing creatively since the first grade, when I won an award for a short book I called My Chocolate Cobra. The title was in no way meant to be a euphemism; I was 7. As motivation for future achievements, I kept the award and the spiral-bound book ever since. I would still have them to this day, but three months ago they burned up in a house fire.

If you would like to contact me, you can do so here. Thank you for visiting and I hope you are doing okay.

  1. Boon,
I just skimmed your SloMo video. On Wire.
I’m trying to catch speeding cars with my iPhone 6+. Speed limit in front of my house is 25 mph. Many go 40mph and some seem to exceed 50. But police and DOT are not interested our hood.
I’ll paint hash marks on street in the tire path. Start, then one second distances for 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55 mph. Then shoot slo mo of speeding cars. Pan to catch the rear tag # as it departs.

What I need is a 0.01 second meta data for each frame. Even better 0.001 seconds. And best. Time is displayed in frame top.

Pic 3 images and post to 311. Tire on Start, on delta 1 second mark and rear tag. And show the math.
